The lesser-known destinations seeing a surge of interest

Newmarket Holidays' new booking data suggests Albania, Uzbekistan and the Baltics are rising to the top of travellers' ranks

The operator has reflected on bookings made since the launch of its summer 2025 brochure, which showcased the debuts of three new tours of the up-and-coming destinations.

The recently-added 'Classic Albania – Land of the Eagle' tour has already sold out, with Newmarket Holidays already providing additional availability to meet the unexpected demand.

15 departures for 2025 are on offer with the 'Uzbekistan – Ancient Cities of the Silk Road' itinerary. This new option has welcomed a similar surge in bookings to its Albanian counterpart.

A tour spotlighting the 'Baltic Capitals – Tallinn, Riga & Vilnius' is also drawing demand. 12 departures are planned between April and October 2025.

David Sharman, the operator's chief commercial officer, noted, "We are thrilled to be catering to the growing demand for unique, emerging and up-and-coming destinations. Albania is selling out rapidly, The Baltics are continuing to experience a resurgence and Uzbekistan has seen an impressive surge in bookings.

"These tours have captivated our customers’ desire for less traditional yet highly rewarding destinations, offering travel agents an excellent opportunity to attract travellers seeking something different and memorable."
