During WTM Virtual, CNTO London shared 12 experiential tourism routes inspired by China?s intangible cultural heritage, and nine case studies all about using rural tourism to help struggling peoples and communities.
The tour layouts offer 12 varied heritage locations including Beijing, the Qianli Grasslands of Inner Mongolia, the Sino-Vietnamese border at Guangzi, and the Silk Road in the Gansu province, among many others. This is part of the tourist organisation's ?Wider China? concept, which explores both exciting destinations outside of the big cities, and the many potential benefits of tourism for people, culture, and nature. The CNTO are also running a short trade survey to find innovative ways to work with industry partners in the UK and across Europe as the industry begin their post-pandemic recovery, with entrants having the opportunity to win select prizes. Complete the survey here.
The site also offers a one-to-one digital match-making service, which means agents can find agent-friendly partners to book any of the routes on offer and expand their China offerings in 2021.
