The JG Travel Group launches new railway children themed coach break

The JG Travel Group has launched a new two-day coach break The Railway Children?s Green Dragon Steam Train & Haworth? that includes a trip through time on the Victorian steam locomotive which featured in the classic 1970?s film The Railway Children.

Available through both its National Holidays and Just Go! Holidays brands, customers will enjoy a nostalgic steam-hauled ride by the famous Green Dragon train through the landscapes of the Yorkshire countryside. Travelling on the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, the train has been newly repainted in the original black of the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway. A visit to Haworth is also included with the chance to visit more recognisable filming locations such as the cobbled main street, Bront? Parsonage and more.

Claire Dutton, trade sales manager at The JG Travel Group, commented: ?Our products that include heritage steam train rides are always hugely popular. I have no doubt that being able to enjoy a trip on the original train used in The Railway Children will be a real draw for many, so early booking will be essential.?

The National Holidays break departs on September 4 from various pick-up points in the north of England and the midlands, while the Just Go! Holidays break departs on September 11 from various pick-up points in the south of England. Prices start from ?119 per person. It includes a return coach travel, one night?s accommodation with breakfast and dinner, the train journey behind the Green Dragon locomotive from Oxenhope to Keighley with a goodie bag per passenger, plus visits to Haworth and Skipton (National Holidays) or Haworth and Leeds (Just Go! Holidays). Based on two sharing.
