Riviera Travel announces new luxury Star Clipper cruise

Riviera Travel has launched a new one-off Star Clipper cruise for 2022.

The voyage will sail across the Italian Mediterranean coast, departing on September 30. Your guests will stay on-board for seven nights, with an overnight stay in Rome included either side of the sailing.

The 16-sail Star Clipper is a reconstruction of a 19th century, four-masted vessel. It combines age-old design with state-of-the-art safety features and luxury on-board facilities. The ship has 83 cabins and accommodates up to 166 guests and 74 crew. It has two salt-water swimming pools, a sun deck, restaurant, tropical outside bar, library and lounge.

It will feature eight tours and visits in Italy. They comprise guided tours of Pompeii, Taormina and Lipari, and visits to Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento and Ponza. Some optional visits on the offer include Vulcano Island, Mount Etna and Ravello. The overnight stop in Rome at the start of the cruise includes a guided tour, while guests have time to explore the Italian capital on their own for the second overnight call.

Katja Hildebrandt, Riviera Travel head of product river and ocean cruise, said: ?This exclusive cruise will be a sailing like no other, with the unique design and facilities of the Star Clipper matched to an itinerary that is fascinating and spectacular in equal measure.?

Prices start from ?2,399 per person. Bookings include return flights with a choice of regional airports; full breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon tea and an ? la carte dinner while on-board; and an experienced tour manager throughout.
