The homeworking co-op headed aboard Uniworlds S.S. Joie de Vivre to celebrate a second consecutive year of record-breaking sales.
Rendez-vous à Paris, the co-op's first conference aboard a river cruise ship, welcomed over 80 of The Midcounties Co-operative's independent homeworkers, along with a host of suppliers.
At the conference, Sheena Whittle, the Personal Travel Agents' head, revealed a year-on-year sales increase of 25%, up 45% against pre-pandemic sales. This will result in payouts worth over £270,000 from the PTAs' Commission Builder Scheme, which rewards agents with bonus commission based on booking volume.
Sheena said: "It was truly special to have so many of the PTAs together on the River Seine to celebrate another record-breaking year of business."
The conference also featured the announcement of a suite of new initiatives to support the group's homeworkers, including a bespoke River Cruise Toolkit (with sector assets, training and insights) and a Customer Referral Toolkit, helping them reward their biggest supporters.
"I’m extremely proud of the independent homeworkers and also the talented and dedicated head office team that supports them," Sheena surmised.
