Jamaica Tourist Board launches a new series of food-focused webinars

The Jamaica Tourist Boards new webinar series, ?Cook Something Bold Today? will explore Jamaican cuisine and shine a light on the countrys gastronomic offerings.

The JTB has partnered with the five-star Half Moon hotel in Montego Bay to broadcast virtual cooking demonstrations. Open to both agents and clients, the hotel?s chefs and bartenders (including executive chef, Klaus Frauenschlaeger, executive pastry chef, Jillian Lindo and chef of the Sugar Mill Restaurant, Christopher Golding) will demonstrate how to make bold Jamaican flavoured dishes and the traditional ?chocolate tea?- a hot beverage that became the inspiration for Cadbury's famous 'Hot Chocolate' in the 1600s.

JTB's next webinar is ?Jamaica ? Off the Beaten Path?, scheduled for November 11. The webinar will enlighten agents on the island's less-popular spots. On November 18, guests will see how Christmas in Jamaica is celebrated with ?Christmas in Jamaica?  ? from traditional meals and music ? to what clients can expect if they choose to celebrate the festive season on the island.

Elizabeth Fox, regional director, UK & Northern Europe, Jamaica Tourist Board, said: ?Throughout the pandemic we?ve worked hard to develop engaging and creative initiatives to help improve travel agents? knowledge of Jamaica and equip them with as many tools as possible to help convert those much-needed sales. We hope these interactive sessions give our all-important trade partners a taste of Jamaica to help inspire their clients to travel to Jamaica in the not-so-distant future.?
