IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened their first branded boutique hotel in Cyprus at Larnaca.
Located near the church of St Lazarus, close to Finikoudes and Mackenzie beaches, the Hotel Indigo property is a five-minute drive from the Larnaca International airport.
The hotel has been constructed by combining two traditional Cypriot beach homes, fusing design elements from both old and new traditions. Each of the 40 bedrooms are designed and inspired by Cyprus?s craft heritage, with balconies overlooking the cityscape of Larnaca, while the bedroom decor has a touch of raw concrete, contrasted with locally-made, bright traditional textiles and light wooden furnishings. The en-suite bathrooms have spa-like rain showers, brushed concrete floors and original Cypriot tiling, and the balconies are fitted with traditional Mediterranean yellow shutters, which reminds of old Cyprus and mountain-side sunsets. The rooftop pool and Kampana pool bar at the adult-only hotel offers sea views, while the onsite restaurant, Avli offers a taste of regionally inspired dishes. Avli and the Oinotelia wine bar,situated on the ground floor accepts locals and tourists, besides guests.
