The new branch, opening on March 17th, 2024, marks the brands return to East Midlands Airport after a four-year hiatus.
Initially opening as a temporary location in March before a permanent location with full Avis branding opens in the near future, the branch will sit a short walk from the terminal in the mid-stay car park.
Avis' original East Midlands branch ceased operations in 2020, and the return of its presence at East Midlands Airport marks the return of the brand's regional presence entirely.
The car hire mainstay's UK general manager, Alan Olivier-Smith, promised that the "new location will offer reliable services for those arriving at the airport from afar as well as the surrounding areas."
Mel Darwell, East Midlands Airport's head of commercial, added that the airport's team is "delighted to welcome Avis Budget... which broadens the choices for onward journeys for our customers."
