The 182-room property is set to debut in downton Cebu, the Philippines, in 2024.
Following Accor's signing of the Sofitel Cebu City earlier this year, the hospitality brand is set to continue its expansion across Cebu and the Philippines at large after it has announced the signing of its 18th property in the country, the Mercure Cebu Downtown.
The Mercure Cebu Downtown, opening in 2024, will host 182 rooms in the historic downtown of Cebu, forming part of the Patria de Cebu complex which will include a shopping centre, offices and a central plaza.
The property will include a restaurant, executive lounge, swimming pool, gym, and a rooftop bar, as well as events facilities including a ballroom and meeting rooms.
Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea, said: ?The signing of Mercure Cebu Downtown demonstrates our confidence in the future of tourism for the Philippines. We are entering into an exciting stage of development with Accor now boasting a pipeline of 18 hotels which will debut in the Philippines over the next five years. Authenticity and curiosity are central values of the Mercure brand; it is this attention to providing a localised experience that has made this portfolio of hotels so successful. We look forward to crafting an authentic personality for Mercure Cebu Downtown and welcoming guests to come and enjoy all the hidden secrets around Cebu."
