Not Just Travel launches The Travel Podcast

One of the leading travel consultants Not Just Travel has launched its own podcast amid the coronavirus lockdown, to cheer and inspire travellers with their weekly destination features

Primarily an audio programe, The Travel Podcast will have an array of articles, destination features on countries and cities (in text and video format) and interviews of industry experts, with latest news updates on travelling in a post-coronavirus world.

Hosted by co-founder Steve Witt and a panel of industry experts, the podcast will have two new episodes per week, that will provide the much-needed inspiration and instruction for travelling post lockdown.

A variety of speakers, from different industries will be contributing to the podcast, such as tourism organisations, airlines, holiday companies, bloggers and journalists.

The Travel Podcast aims to help listeners who are raring to go on a holiday and want to start planning about a dream destination. The first few episodes will feature Las Vegas, the winter wonderland of Lapland, and the sun-drenched isles of Antigua and Barbuda, not to forget Australia; which is trying to build itself back after the devastating bush fires earlier this year. Future episodes include the hometown of country music, Nashville, the white sands and tranquillity of Mauritius and the exotically beautiful Sri Lanka.

Steve Witt said: ?Our aim is to create the most popular travel podcasts available. Not only can we help people explore the world from the comfort of their homes, and provide them with a bit of joy during these tough times; we can also give them the most up-to-date information as travel restrictions are lifted and the world begins to take its first steps out.?

Figures show that 25% of people listen to podcasts, with most listening to an average of six hours a week.

?There are at least one billion YouTube searches per day, 182mn Netflix subscribers and one million podcasts on iTunes, which indicates that the world wants on-demand content and podcasting has never been more popular. We crave content that is personal and right for us at a given time, whether it is the kitchen or the car,? he added.

Steve Witt further commented: ?One 30-minute episode is the perfect time to dream about your next destination and find out more.?
