Hoshino Resort RISONARE Kohamajima reopens

Four-star luxury resort Hoshino Resort RISONARE Kohamajima has reopened in Okinawa, Japan?s subtropical southern prefecture, which is a three-hour flight from Tokyo.

Situated on the Kohamajima in the YaeYama Islands, the newly built property offers 60 spacious private suites, built around a pristine lagoon. All suites have their own terrace and daybed, and some have private pools and jacuzzi-style outdoor bathtubs.

The resort opened in April 2020, but had to close shortly after welcoming its first few guests due to the pandemic. It has now reopened and offers guests, a rural coastal retreat in an island setting.

With year-round warm climate in Okinawa, comparable to Hawaii and Cancun, the property is a great option for winter sun breaks. The property features a big golf course, two large swimming pools and a spa. The spa offers guests a range of treatments to enrich the body and soul.

Other facilities include waterfront restaurant Ooli Ooli and a beach book cafe with a library by the ocean.

For those who want to discover more of Okinawa, there are various activities and excursions to choose from, including a snorkelling session to an island, moon beach yoga below the stars, sea-canyoning, jet-blading, stargazing and local craft classes.

Hoshino Resort RISONARE Kohamajima has reopened with enhanced hygiene management, which includes social distancing measures, temperature checks for all guests on arrival, additional sanitisation of guest rooms and public spaces and a take-out style food service for guests, who prefer to dine in their suites.
