Stacy Ritter, Visit Lauderdale's president and CEO, described the chance to showcase the Greater Fort Lauderdale area at IPW as "a significant moment for our destination.

"As we look ahead to hosting in 2026, we’re excited to showcase the vibrant blend of cultures, communities, and experiences that define who we are, a place that proudly welcomes everyone under the sun."

The Lauderdale activation featured brand ambassadors dressed as lifeguards, performances by stilt walkers and Salsa and Caribbean carnival dancers, and a variety of tastes and tipples, including margaritas and empanadas.

Visit Lauderdale will host IPW 2026 from May 17th to 21st, 2026, which it predicts will generate US$14 million in food and beverage spending alone. IPW itself is predicted to gross US$1.5 billion in federal tax revenue over the next three years.

This year's host destination, Choose Chicago, unveiled a new campaign declaring the city 'Never Done. Never Outdone.', while Brand USA made a "rallying cry" to travel and New York City Tourism + Conventions put agents at the heart of its renewed focus on luxury travellers.
