Wizz Air has accelerated its UK growth with the addition of a new Airbus A321neo to its London Luton fleet, bringing its total fleet to 12 aircraft.
The addition of the enhanced plane will bring the airline's capacity to more than 12 million seats per year from London.
With flights taking to the skies in winter 2023/24, increased connectivity will be on offer to Hurghada (four weekly flights), Sharm el Sheikh (three weekly flights), Tirana (35 weekly flights), Prague (12 weekly flights), Reykjavik (seven weekly flights) and Amman (five weekly flights).
Marion Geoffroy, managing director of Wizz Air UK, celebrated the arrival of the new craft: "The addition of a new aircraft marks a significant investment for the UK, and we’re pleased to solidify our market-leading position at London Luton.
"We are seeing increased demand for more flights to destinations across Europe. With this new aircraft increasing our capacity at Luton, we are now providing more seats than ever for passengers to travel to and from London."
