VIVA Cruises unveils 2022 cruising programme

The cruise line will launch 238 voyages across seven ships next year, including two new-build ships.

River cruise specialist, VIVA Cruise, has unveiled its 2022 programme, announcing two brand new ships joining the fleet, and two further vessels sailing with a refreshed look. With these new additions, the cruise line's programme will host 238 departures across seven ships.

VIVA Cruises' first new build cruise ship, VIVA ONE, will take to the shores as part of the 2022 programme. Hosting two restaurants, a sun deck, a spa and wellness area, and 88 cabins hosting up to 176 guests, the ship will sail along the Rhine and Moselle rivers from D?sseldorf in April 2022. VIVA One will cruise with hybrid technology, using sulphur-free GTL fuel, reducing the carbon footprint of the fleet significantly. The ship will focus on eco-cruising, using less single-use plastic and adopting environmentally friendly materials instead.

Along with VIVA ONE, VIVA TWO will also join the fleet as the cruise line's second new build ship, sailing its 95 cabins (with eight suites) along the Danube from July 2022.

Andrea Kruse, COO of VIVA Cruises, said: ?We are very proud to be able to launch our very first two new build ships for the 2022 season. We have taken the time to implement our casual lifestyle and all the necessary safety protocols to the vessels to make them just right for our guests.?

As well as its two new ships, VIVA Cruises will continue to sail along the Rhine, Danube, Main, Moselle, Seine and Rh?ne, as well as the Baltic Seas, throughout 2022. The range of four-night cruises on offer (from D?sseldorf, Frankfurt and Koblenz) will be expanded in the programme, hoping to capture the imaginations of river cruising newbies.

VIVA TIARA will sail a programme of seven- to 16-night itineraries along the Danube, whilst sister ship MOMENTS will sail on seven-night Rhine river cruises and four-night wellness-focused programmes. SWISS DIAMOND will continue its itinerary programme along the Baltic coast.

The cruise line offers 10% commission to UK travel agents for every booking made.
