The newly renamed ships will sail all year round once the 2021 season resumes.
River cruise specialist VIVA Cruises has announced it has been hard at work, preparing for the beginning of the 2021 season. Three newly renamed and refreshed ships will run exclusively for the brand throughout the year.
The cruise line's most popular ships, MS Treasures and MS Inspire, leased from parent company, Scylla AC, will sail exclusively for the river cruise operator in 2021. They will relaunch as VIVA Treasures and VIVA Inspire, respectively, to run VIVA's popular Main, Rhine and Moselle river itineraries.
MS Robert Burns, which sailed with VIVA Cruises last year, will relaunch as VIVA Moments, reflecting the brand's "Enjoy the moment" motto, and join the VIVA fleet on a permanent basis. The ship, built in 2018, features 88 outside cabins and will sail on seven- to 16- night itineraries along the Danube.
The VIVA One, VIVA's first new build ship, will now instead launch in 2022, with VIVA Moments taking over all the ship's intended planned voyages this year.
All three ships will be refreshed with new names and VIVA Cruises' recognisable blue colour schemes, joining VIVA's other vessels, including the Tiara, VIVA's first owned ship, which kicked off with Rhine and Danube river cruises in June 2020.
Chief operating officer at VIVA, Andrea Kruse, said: ?We are delighted to be sailing three vessels exclusively this year, together with our own VIVA TIARA. Our very successful 2020 summer season highlights that we operate the highest safety protocols and have been working very hard to build on this success and have everything ready for 2021.?
