VisitGuernsey has announced the launch of a new Eat Drink & Be Local summer festival series focusing on the islands food, drink and artisanal crafts.
Starting on June 2 as part of Guernsey's popular Seafront Sunday series, 'Eat Drink & Be Local' will take place along the harbour front of St Peter Port across four summer Sundays, culminating in a Festival Finale Weekend at the end of September. Seafront Sundays take place on select Sundays throughout the summer months, when St Peter Port's seafront becomes traffic free and bursts into life with themed stalls and al fresco dining.
Guernsey is home to many entrepreneurs and Seafront Sunday aims to showcase the authentic taste of Guernsey by promoting local flavour and style.
The main activities of the food and drink festival will be held on The Crown Pier, which will feature The Creation Station activity marquee - an area dedicated for cultural activities for children, alongside two demonstrations and live music marquees. There will also be a landscaped garden called 'The Watering Hole' where guests can sit and sample the locally brewed, distilled and crafted beverages along with an array of food stalls.
The four Eat Drink & Be Local Seafront Sunday dates are: June 2, July 28, August 18, and September 1 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. The festival finale weekend is on September 28 and 29, 10:00 ? 17:00.
