It was amazing to see just how many of our customers felt passionate about this important cause and we look forward to sharing with them all the exciting fundraising activities that we have planned?.
Atkin-Smith continued: ?Viking River Cruises has a personal link to this charity with our founder, Torstein Hagen beating prostate cancer, so we are all very keen to get behind this charity and help make a real difference to lives affected by cancer across Britain?
To kick the fundraising effort off, this Friday, August 29, Viking will donate ?10 for every booking made on the day directly to Cancer Research UK. Viking?s UK staff will also raise extra donations through a charity fun Friday, including a fancy dress competition. Staff from Viking River Cruise will also be taking part in Cancer Research UK?s own events starting with Shine London 2011 over night walk on Saturday 1st October 2011.
