Turkish Airlines lands Down Under

The new service supports the airlines ever-expanding catalogue, now standing at 346 destinations across six continents.

News of the airline’s expansion Down Under was first announced in January, with the first flight landing in the city yesterday. Turkish Airlines will now operate three weekly flights between Istanbul and Melbourne, becoming the only European airline to service the city.

Professor Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, celebrates the “long-held ambition” of flying to Australia, stating that the inaugural service to Melbourne “is a testament to our growing influence in the Asia Pacific region and underscores our unwavering commitment to fostering connections between diverse cultures and communities across the globe.”

Passengers can travel from Istanbul to Melbourne until March 15th, 2024 from US$1,199, and from Melbourne to Istanbul from US$999 when booking before April 15th, 2024.
