Normalised UAE-Israel relations offer multi-destination booking opportunities

Following the normalisation of relations between the UAE and Israel, UK agents can now book clients on itineraries that include the UAE and Israel in a way which was not possible before.

This gives agents more options for multi-destination Middle East holidays.

Tel Aviv-Yafo is eager to attract new visitors to the city arriving from the UAE airports and will publish a short video for visitors, featuring sand sculptures, images of the stunning coastline and a multilingual invitation to visit the city.

Sharon Landes-Fischer, acting CEO of Tel Aviv Global & Tourism, said, "Tel Aviv-Yafo is delighted to extend a citywide invitation to visitors from UAE. As we enter a new era of regional relations, we are confident that this new and emerging market will benefit from all that Tel Aviv-Yafo has to offer."

Israel welcomed 4.55 million visitors in 2019, representing an all-time record in incoming tourism. Tel Aviv hotels recorded almost 3.8 million overnight stays, with an average hotel occupancy rate of 76%. Despite the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, Tel Aviv-Yafo tourism authorities are confident that new and emerging tourism markets will expedite its recovery.
