TAP Portugal has been advised by its pilot union about possible industrial action. The threatened strike has initially been called for December 9, 2011. Should the strike action go ahead, this would result in severe delays and/or cancellations to flight operations between the UK and Portugal. The airline strongly recommends that customers rebook for alternative dates. In an attempt to limit inconvenience to its customers, TAP has implemented the following procedures in order for its trade partners to carry out rebooking and/or refunds themselves: 1. REBOOKING Rebooking must be made in the original booking class if available. If not available, the lowest alternative booking class may be used as long as it is in the same cabin of service ? i.e business or economy. Tickets can then be reissued by the agent with the following information added to the endorsement box: An OSI remark must be added to the PNR stating: 2. REFUNDS An OSI must be added to the PNR stating: All reissues and refunds are audited. Any rebooking/refunds processed incorrectly or outside the criteria set above will be subject to an ADM. TAP apologises for any inconvenience caused and thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Should customers wish to contact the airline directly for changes or cancellations they may do so by contacting the call centre on 0845 601 0932. ? |
