Sun Siyam Resorts has announced the launch of a brand-new resort next year in March.
Siyam World, the multi-experiential resort, is situated on a stunning island, nestled in the Noonu Atoll and covers 52 acres of land, with 1.5 km of house reef surrounding it.
The property has 33 different diving sites, where divers can encounter an aquatic world of natural beauty and wonder. The Noonu Atoll offers the opportunity to experience a wide variety of marine life to divers of all levels. The spectacular dive sites are suitable for any level of diver and are all easily accessible. The expert dive masters at Siyam World will guide guests to a range of dive sites, depending on ability and visibility.
Located on the outer reef of the atoll?s southern tip, the Raafushi dive site is suitable for all levels as it provides a depth of 10-15 feet (3-5 meters) deep, before drops off to 39-46 feet (12-14 meters). Divers can expect to see brightly coloured nudibranchs and tropical red toothed triggerfish, as well as a nocturnal nurse shark having a snooze.
Intermediate divers can head to the legendary Christmas Tree Rock, a famous site in the Northern Atoll, which gets its name from the circular-shaped Thila (submerged island), which acts as a nursery for white tip reef sharks, that can be discovered resting in small groups under overhangs or in crevices during the day. Rays, leopard and guitar sharks may also make an appearance there.
Siyam World?s unique 24-hour WOW! inclusive plan gives guests the opportunity to experience the Maldives in a completely different way.
