SkyWork Airlines recently saw the inauguration of its first connection from Bern to London City Airport.
The passengers of the first flight (served by a Saab 2000), were offered a small gift for the journey at Bern Airport, and passengers and crew were also welcomed into London by representatives of London City Airport.
The relaunch of the direct connection sees flights departing from London City on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays at 13:10, arriving into Bern for 15:50 local time, with flights departing from Bern on these days at 11:35 arriving into London for 12:40.
Flight times have been specifically scheduled in response to a frequently voiced customer request, whereby the majority of passengers flying from Bern prefer to do so at lunchtime.
On Sunday flights depart Bern at 18:20 arriving into London City at 19:00, and will depart from London City at 19:30 arriving into Bern at 22:10.
The airline has also proposed that it will increase the number of flights to London City should it see sufficient demand.
