The revamped Premium Economy experience includes an expanded selection of dining options and a brand-new in-flight amenity kit.
Premium Economy class customers departing on Singapore Airline services from March 31st will be presented with a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition champagne after take-off while they peruse a hard copy of the new in-flight dinging menu.
Travellers can choose between either International or Asian cuisine on every flight, and also have the chance to choose from an expanded ‘Book the Cook’ offering – a rotating menu which features up to 20 dishes for pre-order at least 24 hours before departure.
On flights that are longer than seven hours, travellers will be presented with the new amenity kit after partnering with sustainable lifestyle product manufacturer Out of the Woods. The kit will consist of eyemasks and slippers made out of recycled material, biodegradable lip balm, dental kits and moisturisers.
Yeoh Phee Teik, senior vice president of Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, stated that as the airlines’ philosophy is to “never stand still”, it was only a matter of time before the popular Premium Economy offering was enhanced.
“We regularly gather customer feedback and conduct market research (…) based on these insights, we have undertaken this comprehensive revamp of our Premium Economy class in-flight offerings, which we believe will delight out customers.”
