Pickleball, archery and shuffleboard are set to grace the decks of the Queen Anne.
As the countdown to Queen Anne’s maiden voyage continues, Cunard has revealed some of the new deck games that guests can play on board the new vessel.
After celebrating deck games for more than a century, Cunard has now announced a partnership with PickleballENGLAND, the governing body for one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and North America. It is a mixture of badminton, tennis and table tennis, and the Queen Anne will boast a state-of-the-art Pickleball court on the top deck.
The Queen Anne will also become the first ship to ever have real bows and arrows on board after Cunard has partnered with Archery GB, allowing guests to test their archery skills in the high seas.
Fan-favourite deck games such as golf on the ship’s driving range and putting green, and shuffleboard courts will be available on the Observation Deck and Sky Bar areas.
Kate McAlister, President of Cunard, stated that on board entertainment has always been “at the heart of what [Cunard] do” and she looks forward to Queen Anne carrying that legacy into the future.
