Seychelles shark situation update - Maritime Safety Advisory

The Seychelles Maritime and Safety Administration has lifted the ban on swimming at Anse Lazio following the installation of an ?Exclusion net? in front of Bonbon Plume Restaurant, effective immediately. The Seychelles Maritime and Safety Administration has lifted the ban on swimming at Anse Lazio following the installation of an ?Exclusion net? in front of Bonbon Plume Restaurant, effective immediately. Swimming and other related activities are limited to within the perimeter of the exclusion net only.

Tourism police officers will still be present on the beach to advise and guide tourists.

A second and third net will be installed at Anse Lazio and Petite Anse kerlan in the coming days.

The ban on swimming and/or entering the sea in other areas (i.e. Anse Georgette, Petite Anse Kerlan, Grand Anse Kerlan, St Pierre island and Curieuse island) remain in force, until further notice. For all other areas tourists are still advised to swim close to the beach, within a short distance and not to go into deep water.
