Scenic unveils two new itineraries on Scenic Eclipse

Scenic Luxury Tours & Cruises has announced two new itineraries for Scenic Eclipse.

Taste of Caribbean is a 15-day exploration, sailing October 7 to 21, Nassau to Miami. The 13-day Colombia & Panama departing Miami (October 19 to 31, Miami to Cartagena) combines some of the region's major ports with off-the-beaten-path opportunities.

Stops include Long Island, a paradise with cliffs, long white sand beaches and coral reefs; Great Inagua Island, home to more than 140 species of native and migratory birds including West Indian Flamingo; Guanaja Island in Honduras, a major destination for snorkelling; and Half Moon Caye, designated as a wildlife protected area in 1924 due to its sea turtle nesting habitat and home to the red-footed booby. The sailing departs from Nassau, Bahamas and disembarks in Miami.

Guests depart Miami for 'Colombia & Panama' sailing and, after a fun stop in Key West, head to Central America. In Belize City, they explore colonial houses, seaside parks and Mayan ruins. While in Roatan Island, guests can go for snorkelling amongst the vibrant coral reefs or relax on the white sand beaches. Other ports include Costa Rica's Puerto Lim?n, where guests visit the Jaguar Rescue Centre and Sloth Sanctuary. Guests also visit the San Blas Islands, home to the remote Kuna people, and learn about the lifestyle of the natives.

With less than 30 days to the official August 15 launch, Scenic Eclipse has completed the sea trials.

The Polar Class 6 ship has 114 all-verandah suites, ten dining options, a spa with a well-equipped gym, yoga and Pilates studio, two six-guest helicopters and one six-guest submarine, a 240-seat theatre for entertainment and lectures among other features.
