Pittsburgh's newest roller coaster features record nine inversions

Kennywood Amusement Parks new roller coaster ride, The Steel Curtain, has been opened this month by the American football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The new roller coaster sets three new records: a Pennsylvania state record for the tallest roller coaster, a North American record for the most inversions and a world record for the tallest inversion.

Its first ride will open in the new Steelers Country area of the park, with additional attractions due to open later this year. Visitors will experience an adrenaline-packed two-minute ride, as they speed through 4,000 feet of track at 76 miles per hour while navigating nine inversions including one at 197 feet above the ground.

Steelers Country will offer an immersive experience, but with a unique twist. Visitors can also get their hands on exclusive merchandise, try skill games and check out food locations.
