As an official sponsor of the Manu Samoa national rugby team, the Samoa Tourism Authoritys European office has been spotlighting the destination to the trade and consumers.
Three campaigns have been pushing Samoa to the British and French markets, with all eyes on Samoa after they won their first game against Chile in this year's Rugby World Cup.
A digital campaign made sure all eyes were on the destination, not just the rugby team, with passers-by having the chance to win tickets to the Samoa vs England game on October 7th. After spotting a screen, people can scan a QR code, complete a form and follow @samoatourism on Instagram or Facebook for the chance to win. Winners will be announced on October 6th.
50 agents and operators have been invited to join Samoa Tourism for the Samoa vs Argentina game on September 22nd at London's Clubhouse 5, with destination updates and food and drink before the crowd begins to cheer on Manu Samoa. Prizes up for grabs include signed rugby shirts and balls. Remaining places are up for grabs here.
Alison Cryer, from the Samoa Tourism Authority's UK team, explained: "The Rugby World Cup is an excellent opportunity for us to not only support our beloved, Manu Samoa who are a long way from home, and playing but also to raise awareness of this beautiful country in France and the UK.
"The campaign is designed to be fun and informative, as well as encourage people to engage in the spirit of this great tournament. There is also the unique chance to win tickets to the England Vs Samoa game in Lille which will no doubt be an unforgettable match no matter which team you support."
