Nieuw Statendam set sail from Dover this week, beginning Holland America Line's first UK season in a decade
The 2,666-guest vessel is scheduled to sail 10 roundtrip voyages from the port, ending in September, before returning to Dover from April to October 2026.
To commemorate the season's beginning, the cruise line donated 200 Lindt Easter bunnies to the local Dover SmART charity, which supports local disadvantaged children and young carers with opportunities to exercise creativity.
Karen Farndell, Holland America Line's UK director of sales and marketing, said the first UK season in 10 years represents "an exciting new chapter for us, and reflects the growing demand we’re seeing from guests to set sail from the UK. We’re thrilled to offer a rich variety of itineraries on our doorstep over both 2025 and 2026, as part of a wider, long-term investment in the local market."
Dover is one of nine ports on Holland America Line's European roster for 2025.
