Riviera removes Rhine and Rhône solo supplements

A range of 2024 cruises have seen solo prices drop with the removal of the supplement.

533 cabins are dedicated exclusively to solo travellers (now at no extra cost) between August and October this year, representing an almost 200% rise in cabin availability for single cruises.

Prices for a solo 'Rhine, Strasbourg & Heidelberg' option start from £2,749 per person in August, with October options including the 'Burgundy, the River Rhône & Provence' departure from £2,199.

Will Sarson, the operator's head of product – cruise and long haul, noted that "demand for solo travel is increasing," and said the removal of the solo supplement hopes to "ensur[e] more people can experience the wonderful ports of call and on-shore activities across the finest waterways in Europe."

Further solo support

If that were not enough support for solo sailors, the operator confirmed in February that its upcoming season will almost double 2023's solo offering, with a whole host of dedicated options now on sale.
