Commissions earned on the previously scheduled February 8th 10-day inaugural sailing are protected, along with a full fare refund, 50% future cruise credit and up to US$200 per person in flight change fee refunds.
The cruise line's president, John Padgett, said Princess Cruises "understand[s] that this news is disappointing... we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this cancellation causes."
The postponement of Sun Princess' delivery and debut was mutually agreed upon between Princess Cruises and Fincantieri.
Future cruise credit (awarded to a value of 50% of the full original fare price) must be booked by November 30th, 2024 for sailings before December 31st, 2025.
Additional onboard services for the 10-day inaugural sailing are also refundable.
