Ahead of a projected bumper year for Canada sales, Prestige Holidays has unveiled a series of trade-friendly initiatives to help agents sell the destination.
Highlights include boosting its reservations team with a new recruit, the late January launch of a new standalone website and three group fam trips for travel agents to the destination, the first of which will take place in May.
A series of roadshows, booking incentives and in-store promotions are also planned. The announcements follow the recent launch of the specialist operator?s new Canada brochure, which at 144-pages, features its most extensive programme to date.
Denise Hunn, the company's Canada manager, said: ?Canada is booming, possibly due to some negative publicity surrounding the US but also the 150th celebrations and the Royal visit ensured that the destination was top of mind for travellers in 2017. This resulted in some availability issues so clients have been booking early for 2018 to make sure they get the holiday arrangements they want. To capitalise on this, we?re working hard to engage with agents and investing in our programme to ensure that we remain top of mind.
"Our new staff member and website are just two ways for agents to tap into our expert knowledge. But of course first-hand experience is also key, which is why we?re so excited to be working on our first agents? fam trip of 2018. Planned for May, it will feature Air Canada flights and a packed itinerary, including a Rocky Mountaineer trip from Banff to Vancouver.
"Canada ticks so many boxes as it is clean, green and offers a holiday experience to suit all tastes ? from city breaks to adventure and wildlife - and as specialists we can help agents curate bucket list itineraries bespoke to their clients? needs.?
