Porto service marks Jet2.com latest destination addition

The airline's inaugural service to Porto has taken flight from Manchester Airport, marking the first-ever Jet2.com flight to the Portuguese city after the service was brought forward from the initially-slated summer 2025 launch25 launch.

Flights and city break packages will operate from the airline's Manchester hub until November 17th, 2024.

Summer 2025 will see the return of the service from Manchester and the inaugural service from Birmingham Airport, with both hubs offering both flights and city break packages.

Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays' CEO said, "We are delighted to see our first flight to Porto take off from Manchester Airport today and are already looking forward to seeing our inaugural flight depart from Birmingham Airport for summer 2025 too.

"Feedback from customers and independent travel agents has been telling us that flights and city breaks to Porto are very much in demand, and we know that this is a highly sought-after destination that customers want to experience."

Manchester Airport's chief commercial officer Stephen Turner added, "We connect people in the North with their choice of over 200 destinations and are proud of the breadth and depth of our route network, so it’s fantastic that Jet2 has chosen Manchester for their first-ever service to Porto."
