The 2022 iteration of the Pacific Asia Travel Association UK & Irelands annual Christmas Lunch earned £4,500 for the Family Holiday Charity.

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) UK & Ireland held its annual Christmas Lunch for its members and guests on December 8, 2022, raising £4,500 for the Family Holiday Charity.

PATA UK & Ireland chairman Chris Crampton said: “We’re really pleased to have Family Holiday Charity as our chosen charity partner for this years event.

"Our charity Christmas lunch is a long tradition here at PATA, and one we’re very proud of. Over the years we’ve raised tens of thousands of pounds for various charities and thanks to the generosity of our members and their guests this year we raised a record amount of £4,500.I am overwhelmed by the generosity, despite the current UK economy crisis many of us are facing. My sincere thanks goes to all bidders and sponsors involved in making the event such a success, I could not be prouder.”

Jax Shaw, director, Experiences & Impact atFamily Holiday Charity added: “It was such an honour and privilege to attend the PATA Christmas lunch and for Family Holiday Charity to be the charity partner of the event. It was just fantastic to meet so many of the PATA members and we received such a warm welcome from everyone in the room. We’d like to thank Chris Crampton and the PATA board for having us along. But also, to everyone in the room that was so kind and generous with their time and in buying raffle tickets.

"The donations and money raised from the event will go towards helping us to achieve our mission of ensuring that every family gets the opportunity to experience tourism and take part in what this wonderful sector is all about…travel!.”

217 guests attended the lunch, along with a group of Travel Counsellors attending for the first time ever.
