New tours make 007’s 60th anniversary unforgettable

Private tours specialist Unforgettable Travel Company has put together four excursions with 007 themes to mark this month’s 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise.

The luxury private tours follow in the footsteps of James Bond, and cover some of the most memorable locations featured on the big screen.

In 1974, Thailand officially renamed Ko Tapu to ‘James Bond Island’, after the rock tower in The Man With the Golden Gun. While guests can’t access Christopher Lee’s lair, Unforgettable Travel will offer a speedboat tour to see the island for travellers on the operator’s nine-day Classic Thailand experience.

The eight-night Undiscovered Puglia itinerary promises a tuk-tuk tour through the streets of Sassi de Matera, as featured in the opening motorcycle chase scene of No Time to Die.

Meanwhile, Unforgettable’s 13-night Highlights of Chile package takes in the European Southern Observatory in the Atacama Desert, the filming location of the fiery final fight scene in Quantum of Solace.

Unforgettable’s three-night Ancient Greece getaway can take in the spectacular St Cyril’s monastery visited by Roger Moore when filming For Your Eyes Only.

The full itineraries can be organised for departure dates to suit both the customer and the destination.

Graham Carter, commercial director at the Unforgettable Travel Group, said: “James Bond is one of the longest-running and most-loved film franchises in the world. When combined with the knowledge, expertise and impeccable service of our travel specialists, these holidays have a guaranteed license to thrill.”

Prices for the Undiscovered Puglia tour lead in at £3,510 and includes private transfers, select meals and private guided tours.
