Leisure sales near £2 billion in value for Advantage

The Advantage Travel Partnership has announced its financial results for 2022/23, with £7.6 billion turnover from UK members.

£5.7 billion of the Partnership's turnover came from business travel sales, with the remaining £1.9 billion from leisure member sales.

The strong results have been largely attributed to the Partnership's post-Covid transformation, emphasising footprint expansion that has seen new branches in the UK worth £108 million for the company, as reported from its conference in Mexico last month.

Julia Lo Bue-Said, the Advantage Travel Partnership's CEO, who told Travel Bulletin that the partnership was "leading the charge and feeling confident" ahead of its conference, said of the financial results, "This financial year delivered a buoyant market for the UK outbound travel industry and this positive backdrop led to an exceptionally strong year for Advantage.

"Our membership community is the very lifeblood of Advantage, and we truly value the loyalty that our members show us. It's the relationships that we have across our group that drives us as a business to remain at the forefront of innovation and service delivery."

Chairman Steve Esom said the results "demonstrate not just the commercial success of the business during 2023 but position us well for our ambitious growth plans for the future as more businesses look to join the group in order to capitalise in its market-leading commercial and product services as a one-stop business hub."

Promising not to rest on the Partnership's laurels, Steve continued, "Advantage is uniquely positioned to face the future; a financially robust commercial business, continuing to build on its strengths and ensuring a single focus remains to expand its footprint, improve operational efficiencies, and leverage the size of its network to maximise relevant member and partner benefits through a one-stop-business hub approach."

Other announcements from the Partnership made at its conference last month include a new fully-brandable payment portal for members and an eco partnership offering members sustainable tech and trade resources.
