Heathrow To Helsinki: Finnair doubles flight capacity this winter

The airline will add two extra daily flights to its Heathrow to Helsinki route from October 2024, giving travellers more options to travel to the Nordics, Baltics and Asia this winter season.

The additional flights mark a 50% increase in the airline’s capacity between the English and Finnish capitals as the new route now operates up to six times per day.

The two new flights will also be offered during the summer 2025 season.

Anssi Partanen, Finnair’s market director in the UK, is “incredibly excited to be boosting capacity between London and Helsinki” ahead of the route’s 70th anniversary in September, with the new flights “timed to give our customers increased choice and flexibility when travelling during the peak morning and evening periods.”

The new flights will depart from October 27th, 2024.
