Heathrow Express will remove peak and off-peak restrictions from September 6 to give customers greater flexibility.
Customers with single tickets, including those bought before September 6, will be able to travel at any time of the day. The introduction of flexible tickets comes after Heathrow Express froze its fares in 2017 and reduced the price of a weekday ticket to less than half of its price in October 2019.
A range of safety measures have been implemented, such as cleaning of trains before every departure from London Paddington, after an overnight stay at the depot, use of social distancing signages and a promotional animation on travelling safely. This complements the mandatory use of face masks on public transport. Heathrow Express trains were voted as the cleanest in the UK with 93% votes in the Spring 2020 National Rail Passenger Survey.
