Haven enhances Nature Rockz with bush craft skills

Available across Haven?s entire park portfolio is a range of new creative activities and ?survival? skills introduced as part of the brand?s Nature Rockz programme.

Guests can take a walk on the wild side and learn how to track unusual animals, forage for edible forest food and even master the art of water purification, all under the guidance of the park?s rangers.

Animal Tracking offers families the opportunity to understand animal activity with hints and tips on how to follow the tracks left by some of the park?s more unusual animals. Kids will learn to spot the different prints made by different animals, understand their habits and even the direction in which they?re going. This activity is free and can be enjoyed by everyone, though children must be accompanied by an adult.

A new Foraging activity will teach kids how to tell an oak from an elm, how to use plant life as medicines and bushcraft, as well as which plants are edible and which ones everyone should avoid! This activity costs ?5 and can be enjoyed by everyone, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

A must have skill for all young adventurers aged over six years old and costing ?5 per person, is the important skill of Water Purification. Taught by the company?s team of park rangers, this activity includes tips on how to extract water, clean the water and get it ready for drinking. Again all children must be accompanied by an adult.
