As part of the newly-launched 2025 European river cruise programme, a series of themed sailings will depart between April and October 2025.
Eight themed itineraries are on offer, with a choice of 32 departures to choose from, spanning guest interests from food, art, and history to music and horticulture.
Will Sarson, Riviera Travel's recently-appointed head of product, celebrated his first river cruise launch in the post, explaining that the themed itineraries have been entirely driven by guest demand and feedback: "We've taken some of our classic cruises and given them a twist... this came about from customer feedback, as often our product development does.
"Customers were saying they wanted a bit more specialisation, so we did some research and asked customers what themes they were most interested in. We've taken some of that feedback and applied it to our cruises."
Feedback led the Riviera team to its new slate of themed options, which include 'Music of the Blue Danube', exploring the history of classic composers with visits to the Budapest House of Music and a performance at Bratislava's The Primate's Palace, starting from £2,099 per person.
'History & Art of the Rhône' doubles down on the culture, with guests heading ashore to delve into the centuries-spanning architecture, sculptures and paintings of the region, with prices leading in at £1,799 per person.
Prices include return flights with regional departures on offer or Eurostar travel on select itineraries, full-board accommodation, a 'Superior' drinks package, and all scheduled visits and tours.
