G Adventures reveals vaccinated tours and travel-ready programmes

Over 360 departures are available with travel dates as early as this October, with every trip having a fully-vaccinated tour guide on hand.

G Adventures has confirmed the introduction of its new 'Vaccinated Tours' programme. Each trip will be guided by a fully-vaccinated 'chief experience officer' (CEO or tour guide), with all travellers mandated to be fully vaccinated. 56% of travellers expressed that having a fully vaccinated tour guide was more important than their fellow travellers being fully vaccinated.

'Travel-Ready' tours have also launched to ensure equitable access to employment for guides in destinations that have not yet seen a wide vaccine roll-out.

Throughout October, 304 departures will operate as 'Vaccinated Tours', with 64 'Travel-Ready' tours also operating.

All guests and guides on 'Vaccinated Tours' must have received their final dose at least 14 days prior to departure. On 'Travel-Ready' tours, all travellers and guides must have either been fully vaccinated or received a negative PCR test within 96 hours prior to departure.

Jeff Russill, chief operating officer at G Adventures, explained, ?We are starting with Vaccinated Tours in October and will be adding future departures as we confirm CEOs and travellers are all fully vaccinated in order to lead and travel on those itineraries.

?As a global operator, we also want to ensure travel equity for those travellers who haven?t been able to be vaccinated as yet due to their age and / or home country, as we have travellers from more than 160 countries join our trips. We expect vaccination rates to increase in most destinations later this year, and as they do we will be operating even more Vaccinated Tours."

'Vaccinated Tours' include the eight-day 'Local Living Italy' itinerary along the Amalfi Coast, including a visit to Pompeii and accommodation in a 17th-century monastery, from ?1,269 per person.

'Travel Ready' tours include the 15-day 'Egypt and Jordan Adventure' showcasing the natural wonders and cultures of the regions from ?2,179 per person.
