"Exceptional" sales year sees two PTCs surpass £1 million

Abbie Heaton, The Personal Travel Consultants in Partnership with Blue Bay Travel's group manager, celebrated the results delivered by the "dynamic duo" who have both exceeded the £1 million milestone in 2024.

Lynne Walton was the first agent to reach the milestone, surpassing £1 million in sales in April, followed closely by Nicola Szymanowski in May.

Lynne's performance was fuelled entirely through her own database of leads, matching last year's sales within the first four months of the year. She noted that, despite travel's "fair share of issues," she "particularly value[s] the collaborative environment and the exceptional training in social marketing combined with the exclusive supplier offers" delivered by The Personal Travel Consultants' membership.

The duo joined forces after Lynne began delivering more leads than she could convert; Nicola utilises more Blue Bay Travel customer leads but still managed to surpass the million-pound milestone just a month later than her partner.

This year marks Nicola's 25th in travel, which began with various call centre roles followed by a role at Radissson.

Nicola said, "I never questioned my ability, so it was up to me to select a company that aligned with my values, not vice versa. My vision was to be part of an organisation that practises kindness and values its people — a vision I genuinely feel I’ve realised working as part of the PTCs."

Abbie added, "We wouldn’t normally expect to see the £1 million milestone being exceeded by any of our PTCs until much later in the year so achieving this only four/five months into the year is exceptional, particularly as Lynne has only been back in the business for two years."

Earlier this week, The Personal Travel Consultants in partnership with Blue Bay Travel celebrated a 42% increase in sales for the first half of the year against 2023, its recruitment of 15 new homeworking agents and its next two inductions already being filled.
