Etihad Airways will resume regular services between Australia and the United Kingdom on May 15
The first flight to start from Abu Dhabi post-lockdown will be EY19, touching base in London at 11:50 am (local time) on Saturday.
This would be their second flight, on the Melbourne to UK route, connecting Melbourne to Abu Dhabi and London. The flight starting from Melbourne, EY463 at 21:45 pm (local time), will reach Abu Dhabi at 5:55+1am (local time) and EY19 will reach London Heathrow airport by noon. The flights will have business and economy cabins, and all the Etihad operations at London Heathrow will be carried out at Terminal 2.
Both the return flights, EY 20 and EY 460, from London and Abu Dhabi, will be starting post-noon and midnight, on May 21 and will be reaching Melbourne the next day.
These services are in addition to Etihad?s existing schedule of special flights to and from Abu Dhabi across its global network.
Etihad Airways has implemented an extensive sanitisation and customer safety programme and will be practising high standards of hygiene, including catering, deep-cleaning of the cabin and aircraft, checking-in, health screening, boarding, in-flight interaction, as well as ground transportation.
