Etihad pursues "seamless connection" with new agreements

Deals with five airlines (Kam Air, SKY express, Rex Airlines, Jeju Air and Myanmar Airways International) have bolstered Etihad's interline network.

Chief revenue and commercial officer, Arik De, said: "We continue to broaden our network reach enabling seamless connection across our network, giving our guests a broader range of travel options. These five interline agreements make life easier for guests of all the airlines involved."

Guests will be able to connect for onward services to Kabul from Abu Dhabi's Zayed Internatonal Airport thanks to Kam Air's involvement.

SKY express opens an onward gateway to 28 destinations across Greece and its islands from the Etihad base at Athens.

Hubs in Sydney and Melbourne will see the addition of 28 connection options with RTex Airlines, including Adelaide and Canberra.

Jeju Air adds 27 Northeast Asian destinations to the roster from Seoul.

Links with Myanmar Airways International enhances access to Yangon and Mandalay throughout Etihad gateways in South Asia.
