Emirates launches flagship A380 aircraft on Dubai-London Heathrow route

Emirates has begun operating its flagship A380 aircraft between Dubai and London Heathrow, starting today.

Last week, Emirates unveiled its latest A380 with brand new premium economy seats and other enhancements across all cabins. The airline will offer these as spot upgrades to customers, on a discretionary basis, until more premium economy seats are included in its inventory. All other signature Emirates A380 first, business and economy cabins are available for reservation.

The airline has restored its network over the past months, bringing back signature experiences onboard with comprehensive measures in place for the health and safety of its customers and employees.

Customers who purchase an Emirates ticket for travel on or before June 30, 2021, can enjoy generous rebooking terms and options, if they have to change their travel plans. They have the option to change their travel dates or extend their ticket validity for two years.

Travellers arriving in Dubai from the UK no longer need to take a PCR test prior to departure. They can take a free test on arrival at Dubai Airport and receive their results back within 24 hours, during which they can quarantine in one of the city’s hotel rooms. Passengers will not need to quarantine upon returning to the UK, as part of the UAE-UK travel corridor guidelines.

All passengers can travel with confidence and peace of mind with the multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 cover offered by Emirates at no cost to customers; on all tickets purchased on or from December 1, 2020, up until January 31, 2021.

The new multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 cover is in addition to the COVID-19 medical cover, and has provisions for personal accidents during travel, winter sports cover, loss of personal belongings, and trip disruptions due to unexpected air space closure.
