Destination DC reveals UK market importance

The UK has confirmed its place as Washington DC’s largest overseas market, with Destination DC revealing that 131,000 visitors explored the American capital in 2022. 

While overseas tourism comprised 7% of visitation rates, overseas visitors contribute to 27% of tourism spend in the city.

To sustain the impressive momentum, a new advertising campaign, ‘There’s Only One DC’, has been unveiled ahead of an official launch in November.
