Czech Republic remains open for business

Despite the nation declaring a state of emergency, CzechTourism has reassured visitors that the destination is continuing its momentum for 2022.

With the government of the Czech Republic declaring a state of emergency following the invasion of Ukraine, CzechTourism has reassured the travel trade that the destination remains a Central European safe haven.

Katarina Hobbs, CzechTourism?s UK and Ireland Director said: ?The heart of Europe, the Czech Republic, has recently declared a state of emergency in order to access additional budgets to support incoming refugees from Ukraine. We would like to reassure travellers that tourism is continuing as usual and, as always, we invite everyone to experience our beautiful country."

Throughout March and April, CzechTourism will partner with Jet2 for its spring campaign, promoting city breaks to Prague and the surrounding regions. The campaign will target frequent city breakers who are yet to visit Prague.

For the first time in two years, the Czech Republic Travel Trade Day is returning on May 23 and 24, 2022 in Karlovy Vary. The event will bring together destination bodies and the trade for a large workshop and a pre-workshop fam trip.

Czech Tourism will exhibit at London's NGT Food Festival on July 16 and 17, 2022, showcasing traditional Czech cuisine at the Business Design Centre.

The destination body has also launched a dedicated trade section on its website, with professionals encourage to divulge in the up-to-date information, photographs, and trade offers. Explore the portal here.
