Coral Expeditions kickstarts 2021 with Tasmanian return to summer season

Australian cruise line, Coral Expeditions, has completed its restart voyage across Tasmania.

Coral Expeditions has completed its first summer voyage of the 2021 season, with a restart cruise circumnavigating the coast of Tasmania. The voyage sold out a year in advance, with 45 guests enjoying the 16-night journey.

The cruise line's annual summer season will launch a number of voyages across Tasmania's remote coastal islands and national parks; with voyages focusing on the environment, wildlife, history and adventure. All on-board menus are inspired by local cuisine with locally sourced produce and on-board wine tastings showcase the region's vineyards.

All guests and crew must undertake a pre-cruise health screening, a COVID-19 PCR test and complete Tasmania's mandatory e-pass.

Commercial Director, Jeff Gillies, explained: ?We were blessed with a fantastic weather window for our first voyage of the new year and our guests were thrilled to escape into nature. The success of this voyage augers well for the year ahead and continues to build our confidence in what remains uncertain times. We are very grateful for the support we have received from the community and authorities in Tasmania who worked very closely with us in the planning. Tasmania never fails to impress.?
