As of May 2, 2022, fully-vaccinated guests can access the islands via New Zealand.
After swift border closures in early 2020, the Cook Islands hasn't welcomed UK and Irish guests for over two years. Now, with borders to New Zealand opening on January 13, 2022, and New Zealand welcoming Brits once more from May 2, 2022, the islands are once again accessible.
Entry requirements currently in place require all guests over 16 to be double vaccinated, but will not have to show a PCR or antigen test result on arrival.
Along with the shores of the island awaiting guests, its authentic Polynesian culture, impressive landscape, host of marine life and sunny year-round climate are ready and waiting, too.
Flights from Auckland are operating through Air New Zealand and, from June, Jetstar. The return of direct flights from Sydney and Los Angeles is expected later in 2022.
