RiverView is currently taking place in Vienna, with a record number of delegates in attendance.
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland has taken to Vienna for its annual river cruising conference, marking the first time the conference has been hosted in Austria's capital.
Attendees have the opportunity to join conference sessions, a trade fair, local excursions, and visits or overnight stays aboard ships including AmaViola, Nicko Vision, Riverside Mozart, Avalon Envision, TUI Maya, and Scenic Jasper.
A number of cruise lines have agreed to fund a selection of the best ideas from agents in attendance to help boost sales, with details on the initiative expected in due course.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland managing director, explained: “We’re thrilled to see so many agents and stakeholders attend the RiverView conference and would like to thank everyone who has joined us. There is fantastic support and momentum across the sector, and it’s clear that river cruise offers a wealth of opportunities and benefits for agents and customers alike.
“We’re also pleased to announce several new river cruise initiatives, covering trade best practice and learning opportunities. By continuing to collaborate across the industry, we are confident we will help develop and enhance river cruise’s profile even further.”
